RL> It seems to be most useful at lower volumes, just to give the preamp a

Well, I played a Blues Jr. with a Korina Explorer about month or so
ago. Got it REALLY loud. No farting. :) If I wanted farty, I'd borrow my
dad-in-law's Gibson SG long-scale bass (EB-3L, I think). Farts so much it
makes you think that it eats Taco Bell.
RL> If I were to do it again, I'd build it exactly as it was designed, on a
 RL> simple cage-style chassis.
Honestly, I'd prefer building a louder amp myself. :) 15 watts would
have to be the minimum. Actually, do they have the schematic for the Pro or
Blues Jr. anywhere on the 'Net? I have a cabinet that I could probably fit it
in from a Crate GX-15R. Cut it open and put a Mojo 10" in there and I could
have an all tube practice amp for in my room. :)
RL> The schematic is available at http://www.netaxs.com/~lxh2, however, the
RL> power supply is NOT included. He assumes that if you don't know how to
RL> build a regulated power supply, you have no business building his

I don't know off-hand, but I have seen them and they don't seem that
complicated. :)
RL> That said, here's how I built the power supply:
How do you do that, I don't have the patience to sit there and
ASCII-ize something like that. :)
