subject: Hi

are you doing this for internet only access or will you also be doing dialup calls??

based on the FDNODE.CTL you posted, here's what you should have...

===== snip =====
;  NODELIST.??? is included automatically
;
;
; Include private lists with the PvtList command
;
; Phone number translation table (see the Manual):
;

;Contact number overrides
PHONE 1:275/311   $[1:275/311]
PHONE 1:275/312.1 #192.168.254.15
PHONE 1:106/2000  #204.89.247.1

; Default prefix/suffix for domestic and international calls
DIAL  /  011-

;internet stuff
  #           internet
  000-        internet
  V           internet#

;list any POTS numbers to be modified here just like always
1-705-xyz-  xyz-

END

; Cost table (edit as needed):
;
; Default cost for domestic and international calls
COST  35  350

 internet 0
 1-705-   0       ; Cost of local calls

END

;
; end of file "fdnode.ctl"
;
===== snip =====

note1: i used the environment variable method for 1:275/311...

note2: look at how the other two PHONE overrides have their
       number listed. the # indicates to use telnet. a V
       would indicate to use the vmodem protocol.

note3: in the DIAL section, the three entries marked internet
       are what work the majik. they must be listed like they
       are for them to work properly. the 000- and the V may
       be changed but the other parts cannot. we could even
       put in a "0000- internet#" entry so that numbers or
       domains in the nodelist starting with 0000- would be
       vmode protocol connects but we won't because it is not
       necessary.

note4: make sure you put in whatever is needed to strip the
       1-705- off your local numbers.

see next reply for more...
