| subject: | Zenith 386-25 question |
I once had a problem with a 486-66dx (I think) system like that... turned out it was a chip that replacement cost was more than the system was worth in mint condition itself. ML> I have an old Zenith 386-25 which is functional and all, but the ML> BIOS battery is either dead or going dead. I've looked on the ML> Can anyone give me help on finding -- finding/replacing this so I Check the specs by inet search (as likely there is no manufacturer support on an old system like that) and if it's a chip, scrap it unless it has sentimental value... been there, done that, no t-shirt but rather a hole in my heart when I think about it :( It's your decision. Sounds like something I've seen and it will cost you to fix... only you can decide if it's worth it or not.
