subject: SAR Ceritification

Hi!
As some of you may know, I am an explorer with the Washington County
Sheriff's Office. We do search and rescue and law enforcement. There has
become a new Cadet posistion open at the City Department where I live,
and I am thinking about applying for it. The problem is, I enjoy doing
Search and Rescue, but this Cadet program will open some doors for me. I
want to keep SAR certified, but I cannot stay with county if I move to
city. So, I need some way to keep my certification. Right now I am looking to
just keep my certification, not join a large team, because I will not have
time to show up to meetings very often. I have all my equipment and
everything,
and a considerable amount of training. I can't join CAP at this time, either.
If anyone has any idea of what I can do, please mail me. Could I possibly
get some sort of NASAR certification?
Thanx,
Josh
Oh, yeah, I live in the State of Oregon.
