It doesn't always work that way, Michelle. :-( Sugar peas take longer
than regular (early) bush peas to flower and give pods. However, I
am planting some climbing snow peas in spite of that - they are more
prolific, take up less room vertically on a fence (no kneeling or
bending to pick most of them) - and you don't have to throw away that
crunchy juicy pod! :-)
With my right hand still icky, I can't count on having the dexterity
to shell peas now; but I had already made this decision after I
harvested some snow peas last season. MMMMM mmmm!
