This isn't all too weird, Vic... Does Win95 create free UMB's inside every 
new dos-box? I don't think so!
Windows just treats ALL memory as ONE big pool, putting some aside for each 
box you open. But this only warrants you some LOW memory, and eventually some 
free EMS or XMS, if you configure the box for such stuff. UMB's are NOT 
includeed in the deal, alas. This was already the case with Win 3.xx
