| subject: | Microwave Oven Dying? |
JH>Speaking of sparks and smoke - trying to microwave some "baked potatoes" JH>this evening. Saw sparks up on the wall of the thing, heard some JH>accompanying "Poof" types of noises, and turned the thing off. JH>This is an old Sharp microwave- sticker on the back says made in SEP, JH>1980, so we've certainly gotten our moneysworth out of it. JH>Anyone know if it might be repairable, or is it on the way to joining JH>Roy's ATX power supply? I think you are probably out of luck, UNLESS the failing part happens to be a still normally available part. I seriously doubt that the maker would have any repair parts after 23 years!
