I just recently got the .40 USP. I chose it over the .45 only because it
was just slightly smaller and my hands just aren't large enough for the
.45.
Anyway, I am very impressed, with the workmanship, the engineering, and the
accuracy.  It is certainly more reliable than my Series 70 Colt .45, and
being double action, and having the wide out ejection port, it can be
cleared or reshot a lot easier.
I don't think you can go wrong.
