MW> I do see a big difference in my grandchild though...but they were
MW> this way before the medicine, nasty I mean...with the medicine they
MW> seem more in control. It has made a difference in them...
RF> I think times have alot to do with it. I would talk back to my mom
RF> some- times, but it was not the way these kids today do. It like when
RF> they do something they are not suppose to they seem to shove it in
RF> your face. Like ha ha look what I just did. My kids don't but I have
RF> seem many that do. I was basically afraid to do anything really
RF> wrong. I did some average, well a little more than average, but I was
RF> not the really hellacious kid. Where as society teaches to get
RF> respect you must earn it. Therefore, our teaching skills have changed
RF> (or discipline skills). I think its easier to teach out of fear than
RF> out of respect. Yet I still agree with teaching out of respect. The
RF> medicine makes it easier for them to learn how to control the
RF> nastiness. I think it gives them an opportunity to think clearer.
RF> Therefore, if they don't try it really is there fault for not trying.
RF> I don't know if that was very clear. I'm having one of my ADD days.
RF> Can't seem to sort anything out properly.
I understood what you were saying...I talked back to my Mom too...but as
you say, not the same way..more under my breath. I think respect is one
of the keys...everyone should learn respect but in a good way...by getting
respect. I do think the medicine helps the children control themselves and
lets them see what control can be like...Take care...
