TR>> I just read something weird.

TR>> This is a story on WorldNetDaily:

RS>> There goes any chances of it being credible.

TR> The left wing has such credibility problems even their own adherents
TR> won't listen to their radio broadcasts. `Air America' went bankrupt!

RS>So?

RS>WND has an odd habit of simply making shit up.

Really? Well.......Air America *did* go bankrupt, didn't it?

RS>They lost their ass in a libel suit, that Joseph Farah bragged they were
RS>going to take all the way to the Supreme Court.

RS>The day the suit was to start, they settled out of court for millions.

So?

RS>Lately, Joseph Farah himself is simply making up out of whole cloth more
RS>and more hysteria about Obama.

Really? Tell us some.

RS>Of course, you're well acquainted with hysteria.

Of course.......you and Danny boy Ceppa-hole, and Klahn get hysterical all the
time. Anybody who's ever read even a little of your `stuff' is aware that you
are regularly hysterical. *Hysteria* is your normal state of mind!

TR>> Debbie Stabenow, a democrat senator from Michigan, told Bill
TR> Press, a TR> WorldNetDaily columnist and radio host, in reply to the
TR> question TR> `whether it was time to bring back the so-called

RS>> And how much actual power or pull does she have?

RS>> Has Nancy Pelosi advocated the return of the Fairness Doctrine?

TR> Pelosi Supports Return of Fairness Doctrine

TR> AIM Column | By Bethany Stotts | June 26, 2008

RS>AIM?

RS>"Accuracy" in Media, that is still looking for commies
under their beds?

TR> The mainstream media have remained virtually silent about
TR> PelosiGamms support for the Fairness Doctrine.Talk radioGamms
TR> suspicions of a movement to reinstate the Fairness Doctrine were
TR> confirmed by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) on Tuesday June 24
TR> during her comments at a Christian Science Monitor breakfast. When
TR> John Gizzi, an editor for Human Events asked Speaker Pelosi whether
TR> she favored a return of the Fairness Doctrine, she told him an
TR> unhesitating "yes," reports Gizzi.

RS>Human Events.

RS>More right-wing drivel.

`Otto-definition of *right-wing drivel*:

Anything he doesn't like, doesn't agree with, or pretends not to see!

RS>You don't see how this all feeds on each other.

RS>Someone, probably gossip-spreader the Sludge Misreport, runs a rumor.

RS>WND or AIM or whatnot embellishes the rumor.
RS>(Ever play the game, "Telephone?")

RS>Soon the rumor, even AFTER it's debunked, is making the rounds.

Nothing about it has been `debunked'. Its very real.

RS>The old rumor about "Clinton's staff trashed the White House offices"
RS>just a few weeks ago was dredged up out of the sewer again.

RS>> Has Harry Reid?

TR> Probably.

Democrats Already Talking About the Return of the Fairness Doctrine

Posted by Duane Lester on Oct 23rd, 2008

Harry Reid Vs. Free Speech

The Democrat Congress, in the face of a report saying they might be violating
the First Amendment, voted the Fairness Doctrine into law in 1987. Reagan
squashed it with a veto. Thus, Rush Limbaugh and talk radio was born.

The Democrats are going to try to destroy talk radio. The Fairness Doctrine is
the way to do it.

In June of last year, Dick Durbin said:

"It's time to reinstitute the Fairness Doctrine," said Senate
Majority Whip
Dick Durbin (D-Ill.). "I have this old-fashioned attitude that when
Americans hear both sides of the story, they're in a better position to make
a decision."

In the same month, Diane Feinstein said:

Asked if she would revive the fairness doctrine, which used to require
broadcasters to present competing sides of controversial issues, Feinstein
said she was "looking at it." "I remember when there was a fairness
doctrine," she said, "and I think there was much more serious correct
reporting to people."

John Kerry voiced his support for the doctrine, also in June of 2007:

In a radio interview on WNYC's The Brian Lehrer Show, excerpted on YouTube,
Senator Kerry said he thought the doctrine should return. Calling it one of
the "most profound changes in the balance of the media," he said
conservatives
have been able to "squeeze down and squeeze out opinion of opposing views. I
think it has been a very important transition in the imbalance of our public
dialog," he said.

RS> Has Barack Obama?

TR> Might.

Obama has said he doesn't support the "Fairness Doctrine." But do
you really
think that a bill with the support of the Nancy Pelosi, Dick Durbin, Harry
Reid, John Kerry and the other liberals in Congress will be vetoed by
President Obama?

RS>They might also admit the government is hiding flying saucers.

This conversation isn't about "flying saucers", or
"Rutherford", or any other
of your typical attempts to distract the conversation from the main point.

RS>Actual statements they have said in support of a return of the Fairness
RS>Doctrine?

RS>Zero.

Lots. I just came up with a few of them. There are plenty more.

RS>> In fact for all of Stabenow's posturing, there isn't anything
TR> except RS>Stabenow's posturing.

TR> Several other democrat legislators are for it as well.

RS>BFD.

RS>> No bills, no executive orders, nothing.

TR> Give it time. Hussein was only just sworn in, and the U.S. Congress is
TR> busy struggling with how much money (that we don't have) they are
TR> going to give away and to whom, so as to claim ownership of whatever
TR> part of America they don't already own or control.

RS>> But, the right-wing has their "Hush Rush" talking
point, and like
RS>> just about all the other right-wing talking points, there is
RS>> nothing to it.

TR> There's far more danger in it than you are letting on, and you
TR> probably already know that, what with all the time you have on your
TR> hands to surf the Net looking for pictures of kitties and dragons.

RS>Shit. You're scared of your own shadow.

You are projecting your own cowardly prejudice, again. I went all the way
through my military obligation, including fighting in a war.

You got homesick, scared, and ran home to mommy without even completing basic
training.

"Every month that we do not have an economic recovery package, 500 million
Americans lose their jobs." ...........Nancy Pelosi

"Now just try to be honest, you son of a bitch." ......Otto Sauer
