        Yes, you trolled. Trolling is when someone writes a 
        deliberately inflamatory message in order to provoke an 
        outraged response, just for fun, as you did with your 
        remarks re Gentle Giant and ELP having absolutely no 
        musical talent. As this echo is devoted to discussion of 
        such bands, this makes your remarks a troll. Had you said 
        the same thing in a more general music forum, it would 
        not have been. 
 
        That being said, the proper and only acceptable response 
        to a troll is to completely ignore it, something which 
        Mike failed to do. Responding to a troll is as bad as 
        trolling. So, ya both wrote messages which are 
        technically off-topic (trolls and flames are both 
        off-topic, unless they are fantastically interesting and 
        exciting to read). 
 
        So the way I figure it, the two or you are even and as 
        long as you both drop it immediately, completely and 
        forever, which I'm sure you both, being sensible lads at 
        heart, will do, we need concern ourselves no more with 
        it.

        provocation. This reflects upon you highly and I shall

        over and all is forgiven and we can go back to cheerfully 
        discussing Zappa, as if it never happened, which it
