PE> It worked!!! Alan Mouat is now the first person to obtain mail PE> from me via UUCP!!! Alan, can you confirm that you got a single PE> piece of mail, a newsgroup message in dial.tml.locsysop saying PE> "Friday's test" or somesuch? I'm ready to try it too. I read the manual and FX-UUCICO does telephone dialling. At present, using FX-uucico I can call you up with this: fx.rSystem: scorpio Any g "" ATZ OK ATD9436-1785 CONNECT \m\c in:--in: Ubobl: password I am using BobL as my "machine name in the uucp world" (whatever that means), and it dials TML okay, but I'm not sure what you require as the login script. I used what they had in FXUUCICO "\m\c in:--in" but God knows what it means. "Ubobl" is my login name (what you called me), and the password is what I use for Fido (all lower case). The 'g' in the string is the protocol, of which FXuucico has many including the original f, plus y, g, G and v. Which are you using? ... later Well, I called in at 8:00PM on Saturday and spent $2.50 trying to connect before I gave up. You don't seem to like my password. I tried the 'f' protocol and it made no difference and i tried everything I could think of, but it stalled at... scorpio! Login: Ubobl: password: ... and this is where it stalled Any ideas?
