FWIW my brother did appliance repairs for GE and RCA for about 10 years. A co-worker was badly burned on his arm while testing/repairing a microwave and my brother won't get near one now. He refuses to own one and will leave the room if one is turned on. I accidently put some food wrapped in aluminum foil into a heavy duty microwave at work one time and it put on a 'light show' with sparks inside and _outside_ of the microwave. Burned a dozen holes in the front door and the owner of the company was furious. I told him I didn't own a microwave and had no idea that would happen. It stayed there with the scorch marks as evidence to other that it was necessary to remove aluminum foil _first_. With $60 microwaves being more powerful than my old $450 microwave I'm not sure I would risk injury trying to fix one? > > , , > o/ Charles.Angelich \o , > __o/ > / > USA, MI < \ __\__ ___ * ATP/16bit 2.31 * ...
