Well, it's a wheel.  Would it be difficult to convert to a tiller?  
Besides, I hate wheels for steering anyhow.  They just don't "feel" 
right.

As it's rigged right now, most all of that is run to the base 
around the mast.  My regular ride on Thursday will probably be 
my template for any changes should I go ahead with my plans.  
BTW, I made a mistake on the size of the boat.  It's a 34'
