  Howdy.. haven't posted in here in a looooong time, but I bought a Ten-Tec 
1209 2m  6m transverter kit last January, and built it this past winter. 
Turns out that, when I built it, I had one bad transistor, Q8 if I recall, 
which was on the xmit side. It heard okay, but didn't talk above 50 mW. :-( 
Called Ten-Tec, they said to send it in. They fixed it (along with swapping 
out one cap for better SSB operation) for FREE. :-)
 
  I've made some interesting contacts with it, but I need to get the MFJ-1776 
dipole out further (it's in my attic at the moment!), or make up one of those 
Sterba curtain antennas that I saw in a QST this year. :-)
