       I can get fatter tone with my Tele and my Showman. :)
       Funny thing is that I actually think Marshall tone is really trebly 
and thin, even with the presence down and the midrange cranked. I HATE 
treble. I've found the same problem with all the JCM800s and JCM900s I've 
ever played. However, I do have to say that the JTM45 RI is pretty creamy, 
but, if I remember correctly, it wasn't made that long after the Marshall 
Bassman. :)
       I love a big thump on the bottom end, creamy midrange, and just enough 
treble to make a Strat glisten. I get that with my Showman. :)
