Hello everyone.
I am reading a new book called "No Excuse!" by Jay Rifenbary.
In the introduction to the book, he has put in the following
message by an unknown authur that seems to be the message that
we have heard many times over but maybe never understood the
wording or form the message was delivered in. Here is what it says.
RISK TO BE FREE
To laugh is to risk appearing a fool.
To weep is to risk appearing sentimental.
To reach out for another is to risk exposing
your true self.
To place your ideas, your deams before the
crowd is to risk their loss.
To love is to risk not being loved in return.
To live is to risk dying.
To hope is to risk despair.
To try is to risk failure.
But risks need to be taken because the greatest hazard of life is
to risk nothing. The person who risks nothing, is nothing. He may
avoid suffering and sorrow, but he simply cannot learn, feel, change,
grow, love...live. Chained by his beliefs, he is a slave; he has
forfeited freedom. Only a person who risks is free.

Personal suggestion........
Learn to take risks that can and will profit you in ways that money
cannot buy. It can be a lonely world with a shallow thought pattern
of "I can't do that!" or "Thats too hard!" or any of the other
xcuses
that we have all heard and used many times over to avoid taking risks
and feeling pain.
