| subject: | Microwave Oven Dying? |
Hello, Jim, it is a great day here. JH> Anyone know if it might be repairable, or is it on the way to joining JH> Roy's ATX power supply? I totally ignore the market values around your area but let me tell you of my one experience in fixing one. My son's oven quit and he of course asked me to try and fix it. I did but this was no bargain. The PS in it had failed beyond repair. I got a second hand one and was able to insert into it and get it working again. The 2nd hand PS was $60.00 and market here at times, has a sale for the same size oven of $68.00. Why would a new PS be more expensive than a complete oven ? My rationale is that if the 2nd hand one was $60.00, the new one if available, would be more. This could be your situation too. But was there any metal pieces with the baked Tatoes, like aluminium wrap ? It might have simply died of old age. Get a new one is the best policy and truly in line with the modern Merikan marketing customs. ___ Blue Wave/QWK v2.12 --- Platinum Xpress/Win/WINServer v3.0pr5* Origin: Try Our Web Based QWK: DOCSPLACE.ORG (1:123/140) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 123/140 500 106/2000 633/267 |
