Hello Donald.

21 Dec 04 19:04, you wrote to me:

DT> I will need more information on your problem, so please contact me
DT> with as much details as possible, at ktidmore{at}bellsouth.net or

DT> than two times a month in general.

I am new to door games, I have LORD, and BRE running, tho I have yet to find
the time to figure out how to play BRE.

So if you can mention somethings that I can look out for or report, other than
the config files, I'd appreciate it ...

Okay, I just created a new local player "Bad" and entered the
pawnshop, and
exited it, so far so good,

Now enter and talk to Wendy, learn about the PawnShop, quit, quit quit, back
in Town, view stats, still fine,

Now enter view stats, and read bullitens etc ...

Seems the new user/player is fine,

Lost one level 11 and 2x level 10 players after taking ownership of the
pawnshop, what happens if you take ownership and don't deposit anything in the
vault?

Barak's House, and Marty's Mecantile work fine here, no problems yet ...

Well this evening, testing with a new player, no problems, will see later with
the remaining level 10 player, what happens ...

DT> The Linux version for LORD has NOT been released. It is still in beta
DT> development, and there is no download source for it. The same
DT> situation applies to Lord For Windows's beta. Again, if you want help
DT> with Lord, talk to Preslar personally.

Thanks for your infomation, I do appreciate it, as stated earlier, I have only
started playing with doors recently, long after I moved from DOS/OS/2, and
have no experience whatso ever with them. So currently I have no idea what is
causing the problem. Dosemu, LORD, the IGM's, a corrupt config file, or
possibly something that I have not considered.

Currently, I am trying to get as much info as I can to help narrow the
possibles. From point of view the possibilties are endless, wish I still had a
386/486 to test with, they sometimes allowed one to see things long enough on
the screen to catch a error msg. as it flashed past.

I do believe that the doors have been well tested, but also realize that I am
running a less well understood and used setup.

A posibilty is that I edited a config file while in Linux, and not in DOSEMU,
which might clash somewhere - I like the tools available in Linux better. :-((
