subject: File sharing problem with JAM

Hello Michiel

MvdV> I get a file sharing error whenever Fmail attempts to toss
MvdV> something into a JAM area that is open for read by Golded. Just
MvdV> having any message in that area open for read will do to het the
MvdV> error. Did not have that problem with Hudson. very annoying.

MvdV> Is this an Fmail problem or a Golded problem? Or both?

 MvdV> Suggestions?

I get the same error with GoldEd/386 3.0.1-dam3 having mail opened and
FMail v1.48 (16bit DPMI) want to toss to this area. Two machines, both with
DR DOS and linked with the integrated NetWare (IPX). Very different
conditions.

I think it is GoldEd opening the JAM files for read _and write.

My partial solution is to set the semaphore 'golded.run' and check before
calling FMail (FTools maint .. too).

Micha
