KA> GE> some of the other DJ's at the radio station where I work, and none
KA> GE> of them knew anything about Marillion, either. In fact, none of them
KA> GE> had ever heard of Marillion.
KA> What kind of radio station?
The kind that hires new DJs constantly, most of whom have bounced around
the country from station to station, format to format, over the years.
The station where I work only plays Top-40 oldies, but the folks on the
staff have worked all over the place. They've been there, done that, and
have all the t-shirts to prove it.
KA> If you're now trying to claim Marillion is
KA> another obscure band, get over yourself. At least three top ten songs in
KA> the 80's, one as high as #2. I remember hearing them on the radio in
KA> Jax, Fl back around 85, about the time _Misplaced Childhood_ was
KA> entering the charts at #1. Ended up buying that album. Every album up to
KA> that one was in the top ten. Maybe the problem is, those were UK
KA> numbers, not US.
Must have been UK numbers. As with Ange in France, I didn't spend much
time in the UK in the 1980's.
