Circle of Life
Do you ever feel like you are chasing your perverbial tail and
running around in circles?
This is an age old problem that more people than not have had to
deal with at some time or another. If this approach applies to you
in any way, you may want to take a look at who is controlling who.
When I find myself in this position, it usually means that I am in
he
drivers seat and trying as hard as I can to control something or
ome-
one. The end result is always the same. I am miserable and don't
feel
like I am getting anywhere. As a flaming Co-dependent I then go into
deprssion and that so loved feeling of uselessness and woe is me.
Pity Party!
I do believe that in the Circle of Life I was sent here for a reason
and that I have not accomplished what I was sent here for otherwise
I would be dead. Well I woke up this morning so I guess I better get
on with it and get a grip. Several little exercises help when you
re
going around in circles.
Some of the questions I ask myself when things are nuts:
1. Does this really matter?
2. What do I want to accomplish here?
3. Is this my will or God's will?Is there any other way to view
this situation?
4. Is there any other way to view this situation?
5. What do I have to do to remain peaceful?
6. If I could have my way right now, what would I have to do?
7. Am I willing to take chances here?
8. Do I really want to stop running around in circles?
9. Does this affect who I really am?
10. IN 50 YEARS WILL ANYBODY CARE OR REMEMBER?
Put things in perspective. Live each day as if it were your
t.
