BL> What do I need to do? PE> Run UUPC or something else that does UUCP. KR> i've got a program that purports to do it in win95, comes from KR> russia of all places. i'll let you know if iy really does work. I'd rather not load Win95 or OS/2. Using my no-worries approach to comnputers, I lag 2 years behind the mob and let the great-unwashed sort out the problems for me. Not only is this cheaper, but it works. So far, Jeff has given me FX-UUCICO that does the Unix zmodem in DOS, I've found a public domain uniz pkzip (compress, gzip, or gnuzip) myself, and all I need is software to dial Paul up and log on. I can write my own UCP-2-QWK converter in VB and still use BlueWave. ROFL! Overall, that seems the best way to annoy Paul. Maybe I can write a dialler in VB too. It's the perfect solution. I not only annoy Paul, but I get up Frank's nose by not using Pasacal, I upset Niels by not using a batch file, I give you the shits by not using Delphi... and I get something that works reliably. There's something in it for everyone. Regards, Bob ___ Blue Wave/QWK v2.12 @EOT: ---* Origin: Precision Nonsense, Sydney (3:711/934.12) SEEN-BY: 711/934 712/610 @PATH: 711/934 |
