However, as mentioned in other messages, a videocamera is the easiest way I can think of to detect the *source* of IR. Incidently, if he wants this to avoid or bypass IR security systems then he's not gunna have much luck, 'cos the passive IR sensors that are most commonly used are exactly that. Passive!.
