Hi! Robert,

In a message to All you wrote:

Nope, never heard of it before. :)

I'm running Win95b here. Once I finally twigged to the purpose of the
program, it seemed to work fine. For that sort of functionality I would
have been more tempted to use either PSIS or LOGECHO, since I wasn't aware
of CMDTIME.

Anyhow. On with the testing...

  [C:\RUBBISH\DELETE]cmdtime --e copy \config.sys .\{at}Q{at}a {at}a.txt{at}Q
  Command: copy \config.sys .\"Mon Mon.txt"
          1 file(s) copied

  [C:\RUBBISH\DELETE]cmdtime --e copy \config.sys .\{at}Q{at}Z.txt{at}Q
  Command: copy \config.sys .\"E. Austral_+.txt"
          1 file(s) copied

Then I set TZ, after reading the doco more closely.[slap! to the forehead]

  [C:\RUBBISH\DELETE]cmdtime --e copy \config.sys .\{at}Q{at}Z.txt{at}Q
  Command: copy \config.sys .\"EST.txt"
          1 file(s) copied

Which produced...

  [C:\RUBBISH\DELETE]dir

Volume in drive C is ST_5185A
   Volume Serial Number is 2E25-1766
   Directory of C:\RUBBISH\DELETE

  EST TXT 528 06/04/03 18:48 EST.txt

           3 dir(s) 246,988,800 bytes free

Interesting result when TZ wasn't set, hey. Yikes! I just spotted the
file creation dates; WTF did 18:48 on 6 April come from!?! I only did the
tests about 10 minutes ago. Mmm... is that one of the problems you had in
mind?

Cheers,
Paul.
