-> We didn't have one when I was a kid,  until fairly later on,  and that was a
-> cubic yard of a box with 30-something tubes in it (that you could see through
-> the metal grilles on the top) that had a 9 inch screen.

That is like the first one I saw. An RCA with a 7 inch screen as I
recall and a bushel basket full of Tubes on the Chasis.
