BL> Japan started WWII and no one had a clue until they hit Pearl BL> Harbor and took Singapore. PQ> So, you don't count the first 1.25 years when Germany took on PQ> Europe and the British Commonwealth of Nations as being in the PQ> same conflict? I could have said that Australia started WWII just as accurately. We *all* started. It was a fucking *WORLD* war, for Chist's sake! My point was that no one had a clue to Japan's preparations, or intent. It's the way Japan does things. PQ> I view that entire episode of human depravity from the other PQ> perspective. It was essentially a European affair, with the PQ> Pacific theater as a side show. Bullshit. America won the War, America was *only* threatened by Japan, and America suffered its greatest losses in the Pacific. Europe was the sideshow. Without America being attacked by Japan, the result would have been altogether different. If Hitler had been allowed to go his own way, kill all the Jews and conquer Russia... would that have been a good result or a bad one? Personally, I'd rather have Nazis than Communists or Japs, and without Israel we'd have no terrorists today. I've always thought that America made a big mistake. Who gives a damn about Europe anyway? Instead of the two superpowers USA and USSR, we'd have had Germany and the USA, with the USA (and OZ) allied to a conquered Japan, and China. No Vietnam, no Communism, and a unified Europe. Hitler would have been assassinated anyway. You have to remember that before Churchill fucked it up, *everyone* thought Hitler was pretty cool. No one liked Jews anyway.
