That movie was pathetic! And being the glutten for punishment that I am, I
had to keep checking having a look-see at what was going on. Yeesh, that was
a mistake. 
Its amazing what an anemic little v8 can do in the movies.
Just a few glaring things;
The brakes on the car worked (she locked them up at one point)
Spike belts have hollow spikes to give somewhat controlled deflation of
tires (one of the cops in the movie claimed they could not be used)
While Mr.Hero was crawling over the engine compartment, why didn't he yank
at least one plug wire while he was there? He seemed to have enough smarts
to think of disabling the ignition, so why not start with the nearest wire?
I could go on, but I won't.
Too many flaws to get into.
BTW, A Maverick is a Ford. ;)
