| subject: | EMX & TZ-environment variable |
Hi!
Using EMX 09a fix06, I write dates to a file (UNIX dates, ie. offset in
secs from 00:00 01 Jan 1970). As long as the TZ environment variable is not
set, other programs reproduce what I wrote to the file.
When the TZ environment-variable is set, EMX corrects the date for
gmt-offset. Reading back with other programs what I wrote to the file,
produces very strange dates: for ex. today becomes 22 Jun 22 (1922? 2022?),
but the next second today is 23 Jun 22...
Who knows how to work around this problem? Or maybe who knows whether there
is a fix for this problem?
[Just upgrading to EMX 09b or 09c hoping it is fixed, was not something I
wanted to do, until now: EMX 09a works fine for me at the moment, exept for
this problem (and you know what they say: don't fix it if it ain't
broke...)]
Bye, Erik!
