The fact that it happened has to mean that someone wanted it.

Think about what happened. Would the election have happened, and a new
moderator chosen if no-one wanted it? Do people have to explicitly "ask" to
have an election like little kids, or can they just decide amount themselves
and like minded individuals to have one.

If one election must be "asked" for, surely so did the prior one.
If you have evidence that even ONE participant of the echo did ask for an
election in which Vince was elected and installed as moderator, I'd like to see
it.
