Not as far as I can tell after about 3 weeks of almost daily use of the 
mail and browser components (of course I have not tested every single 
feature). I have 1.5 and 1.6b running parallel (using the SET 
MOZILLA_HOME=... parameter, no configuration had to be done except 
copying the plugin files).
I assume you are using the latest libc04fix1 library?
Have you tried running 1.6b with a new dummy profile?
