The one we have here has a big crack on the outside,  happened during our
last move,  over 4 years ago now.  I don't remember seeing any door gaskets
either.

Yeah,  there is that.

Sometimes I wish they _did_ make them like they used to,  but I guess there
wouldn't be much of a market for it if they did.

Maybe they do!  And the prices of such are so stratospheric that the likes
of you and me never encounter such?  :-)
