       I just heard the most incredible spin!

 Dubya was explaining why so many Americans are being killed in Iraq.
Wait for it... he said it proved he was winning!

 Now that there are more kids going to school, more electricity, more
freedom (and this is the darling part) that the Iraqi criminals are
becoming *desperate* to kill more Americans! They know they're losing!

 ROFL!

 In other words, you judge a successful society by how much social
dispirder there is, by how much murder and acts of terror!

 Does he really believe this shit, or is poor braindead George just a
teleprompter? Instead of a reflecting screen to put the words up, you
just use George... no brain required, he'll say *anything*!

 The invasion of Iraq has thrown up some pretty pathetic Spin, but
that one takes the cake! They're getting desperate all right, but it's
not the Iraqi patriots killing Yanks... it's the the Yanks who are
desperate for a story that makes sense (other than the real story of
an invasion gonwe wrong, and Iraqi patriots doing what they can to
expel the invader).

 Do I hear echoes of Vietnam? I'm still waiting for a spinmeister to
use the phrase "hearts and minds."

 The truly dreadful part is that *Americans* actually believe it.
They don't give a fuck that their invasion has ruined the only
halfway-decent country in the Middle East... just that their own body
bags upset them. Like Vietnam, there's a lot more body bags to come...
