| subject: | Batch file virus ??? |
Hello Bat,
Today, I ran the F-Prot anti virus program and got the following error
message:
C:\U\GG.BAT Infection: BAT/Backdarter.D
When I looked at the infected file, it was to do with networking on the DOS
box (I'm trying to network the DOS box to a WinXP box, but I'm not there,
yet)...
I would like to post the batch file so that someone can tell me how this
file contains a virus and how to decontaminate it, #_*BUT*_#, I don't want
to propagate a viral infection to other systems.
I am asking the moderator for permission to post it in three separate (that
way, a user will have to work at extracting three messages to get it
working) messages, in the hope that someone can tell me what commands in
the batch make it an infected file and how I might fix it so I can carry on
with my attempts to complete my networking...
Thanks ... Gerald
