   Are you aware that you could maintain contact with Fido using an
   email feed from Karen Mintzias at Salata in California?  What happens
   is she packs your mail and sends it to you via internet email as a
   file attachment, and you read it and respond locally and email back a
   reply package.  (BlueWave is best).
   You could still lurk in the echos, even without a fifo feed.
