For starters, if you are using a BBS door game and you get an RTE message
it will help the author when you report a problem if you are able to do a
screen capture. Don't know about how things work in Linux, but I imagine
you know how to use the Print Screen key on the keyboard, and how to copy
the saved screen into a program such as Paint, which comes with all of the
Microsoft Windows programs.

Basically, you can send an author the config files and other data files
that the IGM you have a problem with has generated. But probably they
won't show what happened. The angel toolkit-based igms don't create error
log files, so there is not one to send in. But I'm going to see if I can
add something like that to my igms eventually.

Nothing bad should be happening, that I can think of off-hand. You can
lose shop ownership if you are dead and someone claims the igm before you
log in to Lord and are revived. You only lose the shop in bankruptcy when
you let the Config.Gold setting reach zero. But that should not happen
that often. The new owner is granted some funds to start out with, and is
expected to add money (think of it as investment capital) to the vault when
they can do so.

If you would send me an email at ktidmore{at}usa.net, I can discuss this a lot
easier with you in the future. I noticed your message(s) don't list an
email address, so do you have one?

It will be another week before I reopen Pawn Shop for new development. Are
you using version 3.40 at this time or an older version?

There may be others in this Lord echo who can help you with figuring out if
you have a messed up configuration file, or are using Dosemu wrong.
Personally, I have no experience with Dosemu. Not really even sure what
that is for either, at the moment.

There are a few things in Pawn Shop that don't work if you try to use the
IGM at Level 1, but that is indicated on-screen as you play the igm. For
the most part, if you have questions about Pawn Shop, a lot of them may be
already answered in the IGM documentation files. Which are inside the IGM
archive file, available from this URL:

Read the ps-whats.txt and Pawnshop.txt files and they'll tell you a lot
about how the igm works, in case you have not done so already. Donald.
