Not that I want to get involved in the modem wars, but you lot did discuss
the port speed at one time so I changed mine the other day from 19200 to
32400.

Over several days the transfer rate was down by approx 300cps, so I've put
it back to 19200 and it's fine again.

What's the story with that one?  I always thought that faster was better.
