Back then everything did run under OS/2, we were forced to move to NT mainly
because of Autodesk. MS Office became a standard as well that helped kick the
horse.

I just can't see the MS OS model lasting much longer.

Can't help it irt to AutoCAD. We'd need a very compelling reason - like a
"new" CAD package that is quickly adopted by everyone - that
would allow us to
move on. We'd need plenty of other application vendors to have products that
ran natively on the new platform.

I wonder if we'll get back to where we use to be with small, tight applications
which, by their nature, would be a good fit for internet distribution.

We're starting the install of Autodesk 2007 products...talk about code bloat,
these pigs are quite portly!
