Hi, Paul. I imagine you're not particularly interested, but I thought I'd share with you a couple of minor things I've noticed in PKT2QWK. 1) For a normal message you set the status to 'public, unread'. Fine. But if it's marked private in the PKT you set it to QWKPRIVATE, defined in QWK.H as '*'. That is actually 'private, read' The flag for 'private, unread' is not defined in QWK.H but is '+'. Obviously not a major point but for consistency I think they should both be the appropriate 'unread' status. 2) In WRITLINE.C the function write_line() breaks output lines with the QWK soft-cr at a point nominated by the caller. This is called from XQWK.C with 76 for that parameter. The result is many 'orphan' words as the CR in the PKT terminates the original line a few characters later. I'd been wondering where they were coming from. Regards, fIM. * * The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak! @EOT: ---* Origin: Pedants Inc. (3:711/934.24) SEEN-BY: 711/934 @PATH: 711/934 |
