2V Gel cells! Jeeze. It's a classy setup.

BL> Terrific! That's a great setup. What's the ampere-hours? About
BL> 80?

DD> Errr no, they're rated at 450Ah - but like audio speakers,
DD> there's a few ways of calculating that too....

Bloody hell! They're huge! When you said you ran a refrigerator, I
assumed it was a little Peltier device. In that case, *forget* about
the DVD. A couple of amps for 2 hours a day won't even be noticed.

As for the A.H... it's usually taken on 10 hours, but a safe bet is
to divide by two when you're working out maximum loads..ie 220 A.H.
over 10 hours = 22A max. Otherwise, you'll end up running them flat
one day, as the batteries age.

DD> I hope to test it this weekend.

The lengths people will go to, to watch DVD porn...

Regards,
Bob
