Try HELP IBM1S506. A sample CONFIG.SYS entry would be:
BASEDEV=IBM1S506.ADD /A:0 /U:0 /!SMS
which disables block transfers on adapter 0, drive 0.
If you are running DOS programs, check the Int_During_IO property under the
DOS properties.
