       it amazes me how determined Johnny Arsehole's government is to
create a two-tier health system.

 As you know by now, I am waiting for Gough Whitlam to walk in front
of my car, I live in the hope that one day I'll be able to murder him
and get away with it, but despite that total lack of regard for Gough
the Vandal, I concede that hisMedicare was brilliant. Obviously a
fluke...

 It works because it is one-tier, free medicine (paid by taxes) is
available to everyone. Even Kerry Packer used Medicare to get a new
kidney. The second tier of private hospitals and private insurance is
optional. In fact, all it adds is a shorter wait for non-essential
surgery. If you want your tits or your dick enlarged, then private
insurance is the way to go. If you need a new kidney, try Medicare.

 Medicare works and is univerally accepted by all Australians...
except the Liberal Party andPrivate insurers, who have *already*
been given a $1.6-billion subsidy. So why do the Libs firstly give
$1.6 Bn away, and then try to destroy Medicare?

 Their latest is subsidised "clinics" near public hospitals (for the
poor). They are *determined* to set up a two-tier health system in Oz.
Like America, where only the rich can afford to get sick. I ask myself
why? It can't be money, when Johnny can spend $2 Bn fighting Iraq for
no reason. It can't be the levy, when they raise a billion to buy guns
and then let Muslim gangs buy new ones. It can only be that the Libs
are being paid off by doctors and the private insurers.

 I think it's great. Maybe it will stir Australians to dump these
awful bastards - not that Simple Simon is any better, but how can he
much worse?
