I have made some changes my end, as of 2am on 9/3/96.  The changes
are:

1. AT\V6 has been entered into the modem.  This should give me
a lot of info during the connection.  The messages may
"adversely" affect the precise timings of the internals of the
connection, which could potentially make connects worse or
better, time will tell.

2. Binkley will pause for 2 seconds before answering the phone.

3. My software has been changed to make up for Teddy's stupid
mailer.  This will only take effect after the 3rd unsuccessful
attempt at sending the yoohoo, ie no-one will see it.

4. My initialization string now has some pauses after it, to make
up for the huge amount of time it takes for my modem to respond
to ATZ.  Now I don't see an "OK" in my log!  :-)
