And then read five of them... 3,000 pages! BTW, the books were hugely popular, long before the movies. Hollywood never creates success, it merely follows success. My favourite dickhead-publisher example is GONE WITH THE WIND. Margaret Mitchell was rejected 39 times. Everyone agreed that no one wanted to read a long book abiout the Civil War! And then it sold 50 million copies. Of course, the movie came much later, when success was guaranted, and took all the credit as usual.
