Hi, Paul. PE> PE> I have another phone line which I could experiment PE> PE> with at a later date when all other possibilities PE> PE> have been exhausted, if that would make a difference. PE> BL> It'd come through the same exchange, PE> RS> Nope, most exchanges actually have two completely separate technologys, PE> RS> often some modern digital, and some rather more antique crossbar. PE> I'm not sure what your point is here. I would have expected that PE> if both my phone numbers started with "436" that they would be PE> going through the same technology at the exchange. No, it can depend on more digits. When I enquired about the Easycall facilities I learned that there were just 200 numbers in the Balmain exchange that couldn't have it. Unfortunately that included 810-8202. Regards, FIM. * * Politics: Passing the buck or passing the doe. @EOT: ---* Origin: Pedants Inc. (3:711/934.24) SEEN-BY: 711/934 |
