Well I guess I asked for that, 27 personals and 26 were on the subject
of reading packets! Plus some more dribbling in the next day.

Thanks for all your comments, which I shall consider carefully over the
next few days and reply. In the meantime, Rod Speed raised a point
something about it not being the originator of the message which adds
the tear and origin lines. What sort of software is this? Examples? How
does it know who the originator is? Is that what he was saying anyway,
if you saw his message?

If I understand it correctly (and I'm not sure I do), the point he was
trying to make doesn't affect the discussion one way or the other, but
I'd be interested in your comments anyway.
