I think he would have dug the pun on "world" (Whirled). I'm not losing any sleep over this...my blood pressure is fine. ;-) When I first heard the news, my initial reaction was that the idea of naming an ice cream flavor for any of The Beatles (even though Baskin- Robbins had "Beatle-Nut" in the mid-60s) was kind of lame...a bit hokey. However, as you suggest, it is really harmless. At least it's no where near those commercial products, totally unrelated to The Beatles, that use songs of The Beatles to advertise those products. I still find that reprehensible. Ben & Jerry's still donate part of their profits to worthwhile causes and projects(they are owned by Unilever, but that company has continued the practices of the Ben & Jerry company), so if there is an ice cream for John Lennon, and in it's own small way, it increases understanding among peoples, and promotes peace...don't you know it's gonna be all right. -- All follow-ups are directed to the newsgroup rec.music.beatles.moderated.
