  They don't even know how to use them.

  I passed a cop with a laser, who had the thing pointed at me right up to the 
point where I passed him.  He didn't start till I managed to get close though, 
and I suppose he didn't realise that his speed reading would drop on my 
approach because he was only measuring the angular velocity, which by the time 
I passed him (well over the limit) would have been quite a bit lower.

  By looking in my rearview mirror, he lost interest quickly, and focussed on 
the other oncoming traffic.
