| subject: | Dos 6? |
To: Brenton Br> Make a bootable floppy disk with your good DOS 6.2 system. Copy Br> FDISK, SCANDISK and the other primary OS files that you use to Br> the floppy. Boot the new machine from the floppy disk. Br> While still logged to drive A: type A:> FDISK /F Then copy the Br> COMMAND.COM from the floppy to the root of the C: drive. Then Br> copy COMMAND.COM and ALL of the other file to the DOS directory Br> of the machine. Br> Reboot. Br> If pain persists, consult a medical professional. I know how to *FIX* it, for Christ's sake! What I'd like to know, is why the *DIFFERENCE* between the old 486 and the new Athlon? Even when I boot from a 6.22 floppy the Athlon gives the "beta" message. What is the difference? And where is the message coming from?
