TS>1) My biggest heartbreak came when I realized TeleMateWin will only
TS>support ONE dialing directory! This, to me, is a disaster: In the DOS
TS>version, I have my bulletin boards grouped in individual .FON files that
TS>are classified per area code (i.e., TM301.FON, TM517.FON, etc.) to keep
TS>better track of where I call. Will this be addressed in an upgrade, or
TS>are we stuck with it as it is? If the latter, DOS here I come...
TMW supports multiple dialing directory. All you have to do is to choose
Open from the File menu and open a dialing directory. You can actually
have several dialing directories open at the same time.
The coming release will also allow you to import the phone directory
individually.
TS>2) You have forgotten to include Call Waiting Disable support (*70,,)!!
TS>Was this deliberate, or an oversight?
The easiest way is to change the dial prefix in the Modem dialog.
We shall see if there is a need to have internal support for Call
Waiting.
TS>3) The Scripting segment is weak on one point: Will TeleMateWin
TS>automatically copy the DOS scripts for each BBS over, or do every single
TS>one of these scripts have to be redone each time the board is accessed?
Since there are difference in the two language, we do not copy the
script over. However, for most simple script, you can copy all the *.SCR
and rename them as *.TWS.
TS>4) The automatic jump to the next entry in the dialing directory is a
TS>nuisance par excellence! If there is any way to defeat this and just
TS>leave the autodialer on the original line that was accessed, I would
TS>like to know!
The beloved [Insert] key will make its way back in the coming release.
TS>5) My second biggest beef (after #1) is the fact that while in Windows I
TS>experienced jerky, broken screens when calling two test bulletin boards.
TS>I found this to be unacceptable; of course, I am running a 386dx40
TS>processor with 4meg RAM, so that might have some bearing on my problems.
This should be resolved in the coming release.
Thanks for the feedback. The next release is scheduled to release shortly.
So give it a try.
